Digital VC4A Seed Stage Project Showcase Applications open

African entrepreneurs seeking to raise capital between US$ 150,000 and US$ 1 million have been invited to apply for the annual Investment Showcase – Seed VC4A, which will be held digitally in November.

VC4A normally hosts the annual showcase as part of Cape Town’s Africa Early Stage Investor Summit, but with that event postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has gone virtual by 2020.

Disrupt Africa reported on the launch of the Series A showcase last month, targeted at entrepreneurs aiming to raise between US$ 500,000 and US$ 10 million, and VC4A has now joined forces with technical partner AWS Activate and network partners AfriLabs and the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) to launch their Venture Showcase – Seed.

Ten creative early-stage entrepreneurs will be chosen to present their companies to the world, with applicants needing to be based in Africa with a tech-enabled solution which is already on the market and has gained some traction.

“We’ve added a Seed track to the Venture Showcase based on investor demand – now in its fourth year. This groundbreaking introduction opens the door to businesses that are looking to interact with leading investors who are involved across the continent. The Seed Track targets projects that show strong momentum with highly scalable business models.
