Flying Doctors to raise $1 billion for African Healthcare investment

Dr Brown said “It’s just a start to spend $1bn in health across Africa.”

According to her, in the next four years, the fund will be raised in 3 trenches, with the first $200 million collected by the end of Q1 2021 and “then $300 million and $500 million.”

She added that the African investments would be added to the Nigerian portfolio of the company, since the company is open to more investors to encourage investment in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Flying Doctors Healthcare Investment Company has investments in healthcare estimated at over $70 million, and was formed with the goal of putting together the investment and operational activities that Dr. Brown and her team have undertaken over the past decade within the health and wellness sector.
